Spiritual Counseling

My spiritual counseling draws from eclectic sources and resources, from many rivers of thought and practice—covering the proven best of Christianity to yoga, from eastern metaphysics to western contemplative thinkers. This is a journey of being a human angel, of consciously working with light angels, and of consciously seeking the multiple layers of union in heaven, union in universe and union in God.

My spiritual counseling as an advisor or director is based on the premise of doing: “to do” is at the heart and circulatory system of “to understand.” Understanding a spiritual or psychic concept is a very important, and necessary, first step. I have pursued understanding through uncounted hours of listening, reading, conversation, higher-level dreams, affirmations, worshipful devotion, and simply being an open gateway in meditation. Yet, my “doing” outweighs my harvest of “understanding” by enormous measures. For in the “doing” comes true or truer understanding, but also the experience itself.

And this is a continuing process, not simply a once-upon-a-time event, for the cultivated mind does continue to cultivate itself when properly trained. Yet, an “understanding” does not give you spiritual growth or evolution. Intellectual knowledge does not give you any level of spiritual experience, of unfolding your angel powers as a human. So, spiritual guidance to me is based in “doing,” in “practicing,” in “training,” in every verb carrying the freight of personal effort.

Socrates, the modest yet uber-insightful philosopher from ancient Greece, always spoke with the power of “doing” in his talks and conversations. To him, speaking was akin to crafting aphorisms out of thin air. So, almost everything he said, even in jest, had a psychic potency behind it. His most well-known quote is “Know yourself.” A very telling statement, as it is a call to action, a “doing” statement. You can’t help but see that aphorism and be moved by its sheer power to doing the process of knowing one’s self. And, that is a lifelong pursuit. James Allen, the 1890’s mystic teacher, was a similar luminary in condensing great power of action into his words

I work with people wherever they are in life, where they may be in their spiritual pursuits or understanding, where they may be in emotional or devotional commitments or in intellectual exploration. A lot of my work is done in my meditations in my personal meditation sanctuary. I work with people through email and on the phone.
